Suzuki 60hp 4-stroke Jet Drive

Outback Boats Suzuki 60hp Jet Drives are available in tiller steer or console (nozzle) steering models.

The jets are equipped with stainless impellers and come standard with aluminum intakes, polyurethane intakes are available.

Tiller Steering Jet Drive comes with electric start, forward reverse control and a digital tacho on the tiller. The motor is fitted with power tilt/trim and can be upgraded with our kick up functionality which allows the motor to freely kick up if the intake strikes a rock or other object in the river while in motion greatly reducing the impact stresses and also stops the boat hanging up on rocks. Our kick up has end of stroke dampening so that when the motor falls back to its trim position after an impact it has dampening at the end of stroke.

Console Steering (Nozzle) Jet Drive is fitted with a jet boat ball nozzle for fast, light and balanced steering. When paired up with our steering console there is less than 1/2 a turn to go from lock to lock. The unit is fitted with a top mount ducted reverse, muffler and a hardox 450 protector plate. The motor has lock up brackets fitted to stop it turning side to side allowing the nozzle to do all the steering, but still allows the motor to kick up if it strikes a rock. Modified engine mounts are included. Modifications are made to the throttle linkages to get it to integrate with a foot throttle. A mount bracket is installed to support the steering and reverse cables which bolts to the jet and motor. Modifications to the cooling system are made to reduce the chance of fowling. The motor is equipped with power tilt/trim and can have the kick up modification made, the kick up modification reduce the reverse thrust, some customers opt not to have this modification to keep the reverse thrust to a maximum.
